Slack
Connect YAPL to Slack for channel notifications, slash commands, and direct message alerts.
Slack
The Slack integration brings your workspace activity into the channels your team already uses, and lets people check and update their tasks without leaving Slack.
What You Can Do With Slack
- Channel notifications. Post plan publishes, project changes, and team or membership updates to any Slack channel, filtered by project or team.
- Slash commands. Check your tasks, update status, assign or unassign work, and more with
/yaplcommands. - Personal direct messages. Get notified the moment something relevant to you happens, right in Slack.
- App Home. A "My tasks" and "Upcoming milestones" view inside Slack.
- Link unfurling. Paste a YAPL plan, task, or project URL in Slack and get a rich preview.
- Auto-linked accounts. Slack users are matched to YAPL accounts by email automatically, so most people don't need to set anything up manually.
Availability
Slack is available on Professional and Trial plans. Only the workspace owner can connect or disconnect the Slack workspace.
| Plan | Slack |

What's Off-Limits From Slack
Slash commands and interactive buttons cover day-to-day updates: status changes, assignment, and lightweight task creation or deletion. Schedule edits (dependencies, dates, duration) and plan creation, publishing, or deletion always happen in the YAPL planner. Slack messages that touch these areas link back to YAPL instead of acting directly.
