Route YAPL workspace events to Slack channels, filtered by project or team.
Channel Notifications
Channel subscriptions post workspace events, like plan publishes, project changes, and team updates, directly into Slack channels, so your team sees activity where they already talk.
Adding a Channel
- Navigate to Settings > Integrations > Slack > Channels.
- Click Add channel.
- Pick a Slack channel from the list.
Only channels where the YAPL bot has been added are listed. If yours is missing, open the channel in Slack, add the YAPL app from the channel menu (or through Integrations > Add apps), then click Refresh in YAPL.
Channel messages send using Slack's chat:write.public scope, so the bot doesn't need to be a member of public channels. It still needs to be added to the channel's app list to appear in the picker, though.
Quick Presets
When adding a channel, start from a preset instead of picking events one by one:

Presets are a starting point. You can still adjust individual event types after applying one.
Event Types
Here's every event a channel can subscribe to.
Plans: plan published, archived, deleted, restored, task assigned, task unassigned, task status changed.
Projects: project created, archived, deleted, restored, status changed.
Teams & Workspace: team created, team member added, team member removed, owner invitation accepted.
Toggle individual events on or off per channel, or use Select All for a category.
Filtering by Project or Team
Beyond event types, a channel can be scoped to specific projects, teams, or both:
- No filter: the channel sees every matching event workspace-wide.
- Project filter: only events for the selected project(s).
- Team filter: only events for the selected team(s).
- Both: only events for the selected projects, and only when those projects belong to one of the selected teams.
A live summary sentence on the channel's settings shows exactly what the current filter combination means before you save.
Team activity events (team created, owner invitation accepted) are workspace-wide by design and always require an unfiltered subscription. They can't be scoped to a single project or team.
Managing Subscriptions
Each channel subscription can be individually disabled, so it stops receiving notifications without deleting the configuration, or removed entirely. Subscriptions are also automatically deactivated, with a reason shown in YAPL, if the underlying Slack channel is deleted or archived, the bot is removed from it, the workspace disconnects, or your plan is downgraded below Professional.
