Preferences

Customize your YAPL experience with language, theme, and display preferences.

Preferences

Preferences control how YAPL looks and behaves for you personally. These settings apply across all your workspaces and help you customize your experience.

Accessing Preferences

  1. Click Settings in the sidebar navigation
  2. Select Preferences tab
  3. View and modify your preferences

Display Settings

Language

Choose your preferred interface language.

Changing Language:

  1. Go to Settings > Preferences
  2. Find Language setting
  3. Select your preferred language
  4. Interface updates immediately

Language preference affects the interface only. Content created by users (project names, descriptions) remains in the original language.

Theme

Choose your visual theme preference.

LightBright background, dark text
DarkDark background, light text
SystemFollows your device setting

Setting Theme:

  1. Go to Settings > Preferences
  2. Find Theme setting
  3. Select your preference
  4. Theme applies immediately

Regional Settings

Date Format

Configure how dates appear throughout YAPL.

Time Format

Choose your preferred time display.

First Day of Week

Set which day starts your week in calendar views.

Number Format

Configure number display for costs and quantities.

These settings affect:

  • Project timelines
  • Task due dates
  • Activity timestamps
  • Calendar views
  • Cost displays

Notification Preferences

Configure how you receive notifications in the Preferences section.

Saving Preferences

Automatic Save

Most preferences save automatically when changed. You'll see a brief confirmation when changes are saved.

Preferences sync to your account and apply on:

  • All browsers
  • All devices
  • New sessions

Troubleshooting

Preferences Not Saving

  • Check internet connection
  • Refresh the page
  • Try a different browser
  • Clear browser cache

Theme Not Applying

  • Refresh the page
  • Check for browser extensions that may override styles
  • Verify system theme (if using System option)
  • Try a different theme option

Language Not Changing

  • Refresh the page
  • Clear browser cache
  • Log out and back in
  • Check browser language settings
