Solutions for problems signing in to your YAPL account.

Can't Log In

Wrong Password

Symptoms:

  • "Invalid credentials" error
  • "Incorrect password" message

Solutions:

  1. Check caps lock - Passwords are case-sensitive
  2. Verify email address - Make sure you're using the right email
  3. Reset password - Use "Forgot Password" link
  4. Check for typos - Re-enter password carefully

Forgot Password

How to reset:

  1. Go to the login page
  2. Click Forgot Password
  3. Enter your email address
  4. Check your email for reset link
  5. Click the link (valid for 24 hours)
  6. Create a new password
  7. Log in with new password

Reset email not arriving?

  • Check spam/junk folder
  • Wait a few minutes
  • Request another reset
  • Verify email address is correct
  • Contact support if still not working

Account Not Found

"No account with this email" message:

  • Verify you're using the correct email
  • Check for typos in email address
  • You may have registered with a different email
  • Account may have been deleted
  • Create a new account if needed

Account Locked

Why accounts get locked:

  • Too many failed login attempts
  • Security concerns detected
  • Manual lock by administrator

What to do:

  1. Wait 15 minutes
  2. Try logging in again
  3. Reset password if needed
  4. Contact support if still locked

Email Verification Issues

Didn't Receive Verification Email

Try these steps:

  1. Check spam/junk folder
  2. Wait a few minutes - Emails can be delayed
  3. Resend verification
    • Go to login page
    • Attempt to log in
    • Click "Resend verification email"
  4. Check email address - Ensure it's correct
  5. Check email filters - May be blocked by rules
  6. Try different email - Create new account if needed

"Link expired or invalid" message:

  • Links expire after 24 hours
  • Link may have been used already
  • Request a new verification email

How to request new link:

  1. Go to login page
  2. Enter your credentials
  3. Click "Resend verification email"

Already Verified But Still Asked to Verify

Solutions:

  1. Clear browser cookies
  2. Try incognito/private mode
  3. Try a different browser
  4. Contact support

Session Issues

Logged Out Unexpectedly

Common causes:

  • Session expired (normal after inactivity)
  • Cookies cleared
  • Browser closed
  • Password changed
  • Account security action

Solutions:

  • Simply log in again
  • Check that cookies are enabled
  • Don't clear browser data for YAPL

Can't Stay Logged In

If you're repeatedly logged out:

  1. Enable cookies

    • Check browser settings
    • Allow cookies for YAPL
  2. Check browser extensions

    • Privacy extensions may clear cookies
    • Try disabling extensions
  3. Don't use incognito mode

    • Sessions don't persist in incognito
  4. Check multiple devices

    • Logging in elsewhere may log you out

Session Conflicts

"Session expired" or "Please log in again":

  • Normal after long inactivity
  • May occur after password change
  • Can happen with multiple tabs
  • Simply log in again

Login Page Not Loading

  1. Check internet connection
  2. Clear browser cache
  3. Disable ad blockers
  4. Try different browser
  5. Check if YAPL is down

Login Button Not Working

  1. Enable JavaScript in browser
  2. Disable browser extensions
  3. Clear cache and cookies
  4. Try different browser
  5. Update your browser

Page Refreshes After Login

  1. Clear all cookies for YAPL
  2. Disable browser extensions
  3. Try incognito mode
  4. Use different browser

"Network Error" During Login

  1. Check internet connection
  2. Try refreshing the page
  3. Disable VPN temporarily
  4. Check if corporate firewall blocks YAPL
  5. Try different network

Login Works But Nothing Loads After

  1. Clear browser cache
  2. Disable ad blockers
  3. Check browser console for errors
  4. Try different browser

Workspace Access After Login

Logged In But Can't Access Workspace

Possible causes:

  • Not a member of any workspace
  • Workspace subscription expired
  • You were removed from workspace

Solutions:

  1. Check your workspace memberships in Settings
  2. Contact workspace owner
  3. Accept pending invitations
  4. Create a new workspace

Can Only See Some Workspaces

  • You may have been removed from others
  • Check pending invitations
  • Contact workspace owners

Recovery Options

Account Recovery

If you can't access your account:

  1. Try password reset first
  2. Check all email addresses you might have used
  3. Contact support with:
    • Your name
    • Email addresses you might have used
    • When you last accessed the account
    • Workspace names you remember

Data Recovery After Login Issues

Your data is preserved even if you have login issues:

  • Resetting password doesn't affect data
  • Session timeouts don't lose data
  • Verification issues don't affect stored content

Prevention Tips

Avoid Future Login Issues

  1. Use a password manager - Prevents forgotten passwords
  2. Keep email access - Needed for password resets
  3. Update recovery email - Keep it current
  4. Bookmark login page - Avoid phishing sites

Still Having Issues?

If none of these solutions work:

  1. Try all troubleshooting steps above
  2. Clear all browser data for YAPL
  3. Try a completely different browser
